I am very sad that in India the journalists / news makers believe that they are there only to give sensational news that too always.
They think such news items only will attract the readers.
What a pity this is ! Earning money alone should not be our criteria.
Instead of bringing into their hold, these news makers go into the shoes of the readers.
Almost in every monthly, weekly and daily you notice that main news covered on Rape / Gang Rape / Theft / Fraud / Arrest / Goondas Act / Accident / Death / Bribe etc. Most of the Tamil news papers I see they cover the news that a woman eloped with another man, her first husband chased and killed / poisoned / pushed her into the well / killed her and killed himself / a married man developed friendship with another married woman and her husband killed him with a gang and so on.
Definitely the readers are not liking to give first preference for such news, please note. They give less priority for this. Don't be always giving preference to such negative information. Such news items will surely make the readers negative, especially from the morning itself. You cannot make a person positive by giving him a negative news. We are going on attending Motivation classes by spending thousands of rupees to keep our mind and body cool, is it not ? Such your news motivate us ?
Everyone has their own duty to mould / help the society. We have to do a lot to improve the society. Our job is not over just by publishing negative news. You publish such news but not to give top priority for such. It will certainly give negative impact on the readers.
Just for a sample I mention here, a highly reputed English daily had published a photo in which a street dog put its head into a plastic pot and struggle to remove it. The other day the same daily has published another photo in which a highly damaged electric cement pole was erected on the roadside. I can go on giving so many examples. This kind of journalism I did not expect from such a reputed English news daily. Of course, no daily should give importance for such small news and all. It the daily feels it seriously, it can take a photo and submit it to the authorities concerned, why are you washing the dirty linen in public ?
Where are we taken by these news dailies ?
When shall we get quality news ?
